  1. What if the wires aren’t colored?

  2. Just wanted to say thanks, I was going to call a handyman and then watched this and did it myself. It took me longer to find the thing in Lowes than it did for me to do the job.

  3. This was a very helpful video. My iron was not working. Then I noticed that the cord portion, right next to the plug, had frayed. I could even see the exposed wires, if I looked very closely. I got a Leviton 15-amp non-polarized replacement plug online from Home Depot for $2.44. I installed it and my iron now works with no problems. Before I saw the video I was actually planning on throwing the iron away iron which I've had for a long time and really like (it's GE). Anyway, thanks for sharing.

  4. Thanks Dude! Great video! That helps so much!

  5. I knew I could find a video that would show me how to and what I need to replace a broken vacuum plug. All the supplies are arriving tomorrow!

  6. After Seeing This Video & Reading Comments I Came To Know That Americans Are Such A Morons Who Can Discard Even A Costly Electronic Item Even If Just A Power Cord Or Plug Is Damaged Instead Of Repairing It Themselves Like Connecting All Wires Together With Tape Or Just Changing A $3 PlugπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Strange Country The Biggest Waster Of Water Natural Resources And Biggest E-Waste CreatorπŸ˜‚

  7. Thanks but what if the cut is in the middle of the cord?

  8. Pet peeve: people using jack and plug interchangeably.
Webster’s dictionary: Jack = a female fitting in an electric circuit used with a plug to make a connection with another circuit.
Also, when stripping wires do not twist the tool. It tends to damage the wire, making it weaker and prone to failure.

  9. Appreciate the help just fixed my sauna steam generator cable! Thought I had to buy another $70 generator i was frustrated but I know there had to be a solution thanks again!

  10. This was helpful. The music was annoying and unnecessary.

  11. So easy to install. Thanks. My application needed a white part so I had to find one like that. It happened to be exactly like the one you used but white.

  13. Can you use the end of another power cord from another vacuum?
My dog chewed right before the end that you plug into the wall. I do have another vacuum cord that has the whole cord and end part, but was cut off so I can't attach it to the vacuum (I don't know how).

  14. Huge. My chihuahua just chewed threw my iron plug. Ty!πŸ˜…

  15. Would this part work with a 25000 btu air conditioner?
